Game Haven Guild Contest Rules

These Official Contest, Sweepstakes & Drawing Rules (“Rules”) apply to all contests, sweepstakes, giveaways, and drawings (collectively, “Contests”) facilitated through the Game Haven Guild platform (“Game Haven Guild,” “GHG,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), including Contests hosted by Game Haven Guild and Contests hosted by independent third-party game stores using Game Haven Guild features.

Participation in any Contest constitutes acceptance of these Rules, the Game Haven Guild Terms of Service, and all applicable laws.

1. Eligibility

Unless otherwise expressly stated in writing:

  • Participation is limited to registered Game Haven Guild account holders.

  • Participants must be legally eligible under applicable federal, state, and local laws.

  • Void where prohibited.

  • Game Haven Guild reserves the right to disqualify any participant at its sole discretion.

2. In-Person Check-In Requirement

Certain Contests require in-person participation.

  • Entry may require checking in while physically present at a specified location, event, or game session.

  • Remote, virtual, automated, falsified, or otherwise fraudulent check-ins are prohibited.

  • Game Haven Guild may invalidate entries that it reasonably believes were not completed in person, without notice.

3. Store-Hosted Contests (Third-Party Promotions)

3.1 Independent Third-Party Contests

Contests hosted by local game stores using Game Haven Guild tools (“Store-Hosted Contests”) are operated solely by the hosting store.

Game Haven Guild:

  • Is not responsible for store rules, prize descriptions, odds, eligibility, selection, verification, or fulfillment

  • Acts solely as a technology provider offering check-in and random selection functionality

3.2 Store Responsibilities

Each store is solely responsible for:

  • Ensuring participation is limited to individuals physically present

  • Compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

  • Prize availability, delivery, and distribution

  • Resolving all participant disputes

3.3 No Liability for Store Prizes

Game Haven Guild expressly disclaims all liability related to Store-Hosted Contests, including but not limited to:

  • Failure to award prizes

  • Delayed, substituted, defective, or unavailable prizes

  • Misconduct or errors by a store

  • Any dispute between a participant and a store

All claims related to Store-Hosted Contests must be directed to the hosting store.

4. Game Haven Guild-Hosted Contests

4.1 Winner Selection

For Contests expressly identified as hosted by Game Haven Guild (“GHG-Hosted Contests”):

  • Winners are selected at random from eligible check-in or participation lists.

  • Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries.

4.2 Notification & Verification

  • Winners will be contacted only in person or via the email address associated with their Game Haven Guild account.

  • Failure to respond within a reasonable time may result in forfeiture.

4.3 Information Requests

From winners, Game Haven Guild will request only shipping information necessary to deliver a prize.

Game Haven Guild will never request:

  • Payment or fees

  • Financial or banking information

  • Government-issued identification numbers

  • Account passwords or login credentials

5. Prizes

  • Prizes have no cash value unless explicitly stated.

  • Prizes are non-transferable and may not be substituted except at Game Haven Guild’s sole discretion.

  • Game Haven Guild is not responsible for shipping delays, loss, or damage once a prize has been tendered to a carrier.

6. Taxes

Winners are solely responsible for all applicable taxes. Game Haven Guild makes no representations regarding tax obligations.

7. Modification, Suspension & Disqualification

Game Haven Guild reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to:

  • Modify, suspend, or cancel any Contest

  • Disqualify any participant without reason

All decisions are final and binding.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Game Haven Guild shall not be liable for any damages arising out of or related to participation in any Contest, including but not limited to:

  • Technical failures or errors

  • Invalid or lost entries

  • Third-party conduct

  • Prize fulfillment issues

9. Governing Law

These Rules are governed by the laws specified in the Game Haven Guild Terms of Service.
